My daughter Riley started Garden Isle Montessori as a kindergartener, with a rudimentary understanding of the alphabet. Through Mrs. Currier's gentle, but firm program of puppets, songs, and repetition, she was reading short words by Christmas time. In February she was reading short books and you could literally see her confidence soar and her shyness fall away.

Through Mrs. Currier's systematic phonetic approach and systematic increase in book difficulty she was reading with confidence and working in all of her subjects with joy at the start of first grade.
